- Tyres and components together use about 70 – 75% of  rubber consumption, approximately 44% of synthetic rubber and 77% of natural rubber are consumed by tyre industry
- With the saturation in rubber consumption in Western countries and Japan (3-6 kg per capita consume) the shift of consumption of rubber is focused within the Asia – Pacific region
- Taking into account the above prospects, there exists tremendous demand for natural rubber within Asian – Pacific
